Beautiful apartment (120 m²) on the first floor in a historic building from the year 1600. The building and the apartment are recently renovated conserving the gothic style of the buildings of the zone, that means that the building conserves the original façade and the apartment the wooden beams and some parts of the stone walls. City Centre - Zone Ciutat Vella /Born (Montcada street). The apartment is situated in the Born quarter in a building next to the Picasso museum. There are not a lot of apartments in such a privileged situation. The Born quarter, with its gothic architecture, is one of the nicest quarters and the most trendy one of Barcelona. In the Born you will find one of the most important Catalan Gothic buildings: the church of Santa Maria del Mar. Very close to the lodging is the Palau de la Música, a modernisme building with beautiful mosaics, sculptures and stained glass, only a few minutes away. The Born quarter has been modernized in the last years and is now one of the most fashionable and animated areas with its fashion stores, art galleries, attractive cocktails bars and the typical, old restaurants or modern restaurants. Within only a 10 minutes walk from the apartment you will be at the Ramblas and in less than 5 minutes at the Gothic Quarter and the Cathedral. Only 2 minutes by walk from the lodging is a metro station which connects you with other places of interest of Barcelona (L4, Sant Jaume station).
